That's right, it's December 5th, and I've bought EVERYTHING! Without setting foot in a SINGLE STORE. That's right, I'm awesome. *bows* AND! Okay you guys, so I was just watching Hudson Hawk, and now I really want to write an angsty Athena/Hudson Hawk fic set after the movie, where Andie McDowell has gone back to being a nun and Bruce Willis is all depressed and then he meets Athena and they have kinky, angsty sex. I'm thinking about calling it "Side by Side."

I know it's het, but would anyone want to beta it for me? Please?

So, my presentation is over. It went...okay. People are telling me it was good, so I'm trying to just take them at their word. Anyway, it's over. H even said it was good, so it must have been truly outstanding. And he talked with me like I was part of the team instead of a stupid underling. That won't last, of course.

I'm going to be attending the Reference meeting every week now as the representative from Systems. I think this will actually be really cool. I'll get to go and be the expert, and have something to do for awhile, and their meetings are way more fun than Technical Services' meetings. For one thing, H is not at their meetings. So that's a positive development.

My Internets at home are awesome. The wireless router hates me, but I have momentarily given up on it and just plugged the computer straight into the modem. Maybe this weekend I'll try to get it working again.

My birthday is Friday! It will be totally awesome. My family is taking me to lunch on Saturday at Belle Isle Brewery in 50 Penn Place. I love this restaurant. They're almost never busy, and they have tons of vegetarian meals, including the option to substitute a veggie burger on all their burgers. They have pizza and burgers and Mexican and Italian oh my!

TV shows are coming back. There are tons of shows I'm watching now, because I have absolutely nothing better to do than watch TV all the time. Tonight is the premiere of both Kitchen Nightmares and America's Next Top Model. The CW has been off the air most of the last couple of weeks, but it better damn well come in tonight.

Here is my current plan. I will go to work tomorrow from 10-2. While I'm there, I will ask June if she needs me to actually be in the office to work for the rest of the week. She will probably say no. I'll spend the time from 2 to 3 or so getting ready, and head for Shawnee around 3. That gets me there around 6, which is good because it's before Supernatural and House (this is an important factor in my thinking). The plan becomes less specific from there. I will probably stay through the weekend, see Serenity with picara on Friday and be there for Sara's birthday. I can work four hours a day using my parents' computer. So it'll be like a mini-vacation! One where I still have to do work and school, but I'm doing them...someplace else! Whee!

If I'm making little or no sense, it's because I've taken an Ambien. I feel all groggy and weird, but I can't get to sleep. So I was going to listen to MST3K on my laptop, which led to me getting annoyed with my laptop again. Also my DVD player is screwed up. So I want to go somewhere else, and get away from all these hardware problems. (I'm taking the laptop with me, but it won't be connected to the Internet so it won't matter.) The laptop's about to be annoying and overheat, anyway, and then I won't be able to listen to MST3K anyway. *is sad* My torrent has finished, but the files won't play right. The picture's all jerky. I checked the codecs, and GSpot claims I have the right codecs. I'm open to ideas, oh LJ land! I'm going to see if I can play it on picara's laptop, I guess, so I'll know if there's something wrong with the file or with my computer. I am so tired of dealing with this type of crap. SHUT UP COMPUTERS STAB STAB STAB *STAB*.

Mary Beth's roommate called me last night and told me Mary Beth's birthday is on Saturday. (Mary Beth OMG totally didn't tell me, BTW.) Sharon is putting together this book where all Mary Beth's friends write how much they like her and stuff, which she is so going to love. Sharon dropped it at the library this morning so Mary Beth's coworkers could sign it, and I've got to pick it up before they close because Sharon's at work and can't get there in time. I'm trying to decide if I should get Mary Beth anything else. She took me out to eat for my birthday, so maybe I'll just offer to do that for her too. She is seriously such a sweetheart, and she deserves to have a special day.

I went on Monday to see Mary Beth's new apartment, which is beautiful! It's brand new, and it came furnished, which is cool. It's not the best furniture ever, but it's pretty. They each have their own bedroom and their own HUGE bathroom. They also have a huge kitchen. Mary Beth had been to the grocery store, so she made dinner for her and me. She has this recipe for little pizzas that you make with tortillas, tomato paste, oregano, ground beef, and mozzarella cheese. It was very very good, and I'm going to have to try to make it myself sometime. She also bought stuff to make chicken fajitas, so she's thinking about making that for us sometime next week.

Well, I am off to take a shower before I go pick up that book from the library. Peace out, yo.
